The Floofs
noun. Large, fluffy beasties whose only defense is being too big to be comfrotabley eaten. They excel at zoomies and snuggling into the laps of visitors. Supremely poofy and very soft.
The Floofs are on-site all year.
In the summer of 2024 I contacted a reputable breeder of Flemmish Giant rabbits in New Brunswick and brought the (then) tiny Pancake and Waffles home to the farm. Since then they have been joined by a half-miniature lionhead rescue, Pop Tart, and are in charge of the lap-snuggle department during Farm Tours.
Flemmish Giants
Flemmish Giants are known to grow to over 24 lbs in weight when they fully mature at two years of age and both Pancake and Waffles are well on their way to that target. Although they love a good chase, both of them enjoy being petted when snuggled in a visitors lap.
Their recent roomate, Pop Tart, is a little more skittish but when held still enjoys hunkering down for some attention.
Due to the high energy of the rabbits when not being held properly they are not always suitable for younger guests to hold but with a little help from a fellow guest, love being petted.
The Visitor Experience
The rabbits were added in response to the high number of mobility challenged vistors I see during Farm Tours for senior and long-term care homes. Being wheelchair bound or struggling with basic movement can make it difficult or challenging for some guests to interact fully with the sheep or goats but but almost anyone can pet a rgiant rabbit that is plopped on their lap.

Products
None of my three female rabbits are here to be bred and as such the only product they produce (beside a smile on Farm Tour guests faces’) is poop. And they love to poop. Thankfully I have plenty of opportunities to put that to good use on the fields.
